Quixote Nuevo

As an academic project, I attendended a preview of “Quixote Nuevo” at Hartford Stage in Hartford, Connecticut. Quixote Nuevo is a reimagining of the original Cervantes stories of Don Quixote, modernized to tackle issues facing shame, regret, and issues surrounding modern-day American immigrants. After seeing the preview, I was given the unreleased script and professional reperatory light plot. The task was then to completely re-light the show from the ground-up including a lighting and scene analysis, final channel hookup, and drafted light plot, elevated sections, and rotated sections of the lighting plan all based off of the theatre’s lighting inventory.
